Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for any person, more so for patients who need a complete rest. The problem is, there are just nights wherein you just can’t get complete sleep because of distractions. For one, your bed might not be comfortable, which causes you to wake up in the middle of the night. But don’t worry, one of the patient care products that Mobility Paradise offers is a medical-grade mattress.
For patients who find it difficult to lay down or sleep on regular mattresses, having a medical-grade mattress will undoubtedly improve their quality of life. Not only will a medical-grade mattress improve their sleep, but it will also improve their overall posture by preventing muscle sores caused by uneven mattresses.
Patients won’t ever have to worry about experiencing bed sores or pressure ulcers with a medical-grade mattress. For one, an alternating pressure mattress is specially designed to prevent and treat pressure ulcers. This kind of medical-grade mattress allows bedridden patients or seniors who live in nursing facilities to sleep like a baby without worrying about experiencing muscle pains.
Why Should You Get a Medical-Grade Mattress?
RELIEVES PRESSURE PAIN AND TREATS BEDSORE
With a medical-grade mattress, you get to sleep comfortably without worrying about having muscle or joint pains. This is perfect for injured patients, post-surgery patients, and the elderly with brittle bones and weakened muscles. Most medical-grade mattresses are designed to optimize weight distribution and reduce pressure spots, which is one of the most effective ways in treating and preventing pressure ulcers commonly experienced by bed-ridden patients.
Medical-grade mattresses are professionally designed to aid and treat patients who have pressure ulcers. This is way better as compared to typical mattresses, which do not offer maximum comfort and support. For instance, an alternating pressure mattress automatically inflates and deflates alternately through its cyclic airflow, thereby creating a therapeutic sleeping surface.
EFFICIENT PUMP FEATURE
With an alternating pressure mattress, the air pump provides a regular inflation and deflation cycle without putting too much pressure on specific areas. This feature ensures that your bed will not bottom out, which usually happens in pressure points. Another cool feature is that most medical-grade mattress has very minimal noise so you can still enjoy a restful sleep.
EFFICIENT SETUP AND MAINTENANCE
An alternating pressure mattress comes with a hooked air pump that can easily be attached to most bed frames. Typically, these mattresses include an air pump and repair kit. When it comes to setting it up, there’s no need to worry as pressure mattresses can be easily installed and repaired without the need for any technical assistance.

My husband is getting good use of this product. It relaxes him and helps him with preventing soars.Best thing I could have bought him.
I ordered this for my Dad while he was on hospice and placed it on top of his hospitable bed, under the fitted sheet. It took a few minutes to completely fill up and was very firm so and had to slowly adjust it to his comfort. He said it was much more comfortable and he slept/laid on it until he lost his battle with cancer.
I have severe pain in my spine so I need something to lay on when I go to bed that will allow me to relax and sleep. I have tried one other air mattress that did not help me as this one does.
We got this for our patient. She said she loves it. She’s been bed bound for 2 yrs. just what she needed.
Very solid product. Comfortable and easy to use!
Got it for my Uncle who is on hospice and bedridden. He complains all the time about the discomfort of being in one position all the time. This airflow bed really works! When asked if it’s comfortable his response is “l don’t know” but we have not needed to shift his position constantly since we started using this. It’s also super quiet, you can’t hear the pump run at all. The only sound is some soft hissing as the air exchange happens. Even if this only lasts a week, it’s totally worth it. After I put it on the bed one of the hospice nurses told me they would have provided us with one if we had asked. This is probably the best $$$+ taxes I’ve ever spent. If you have someone on bed rest, don’t hesitate, just buy it!
Just the right thickness.
Very Quiet and Comfortable.
My wife is quadriplegic for 20 Years. I have gone through many of these - ranging from $80-$900 and this one is the only one my wife has praised as her favorite.
My friend is paralyzed and gets bed sores. Hoping this will help him. So far so good.
I like that it is thick and easy to clean!
Works very well there are no complaints or recommendations!
